Special people need special help.

And the Michigan Department of Transportation has the Special People to do just that.

It does not matter that some of the roads here are falling apart.

It does not matter that projects are being delayed due to tight budgets.

The Special People must prevail.

The problem is that the Special People see the Two Arrows combining in a Merge Sign...

...and they want to Turn Left!

The Special People at the Michigan Department of Transportation came up with the solution to the problem of other Special People who can not read signs... another sign... the NO LEFT TURN sign.

The Adams Road on ramp to South Bound I-75. February 23, 2002

The Special People on the government payroll, figured that if there were TWO NO LEFT TURN signs, they could SPEND MONEY, and really prevent the other Special People people from ignoring the Merge sign.

What is Wrong with the NO LEFT TURN sign on the left?
It is all faded out
It was ran over by a snow plow
It is full of bullet holes
It is not in Braille
There is nothing wrong with it!

If you think this is a trivial problem, stand on these two peninsulas, and look around you, there are thousands of these things. Not even mentioning the engineering cost involved in placing them. Oh well, lets just raise the Diesel Tax to pay for it all.

How do they manage in Ohio without NO LEFT TURN signs on every ramp?
