The Detroit River has a new guard rail
installed along the bank to keep fishermen away from the edge so it is
more difficult to retrieve any fish they may hook. |
|
In this view you can see the Detroit
River, (the water on the left), the Ambassador Bridge that heads south
into Canada, (a place where people live in igloos), Cobo Hall is on the
right, (the place "Kiss Alive" was recorded). The tall pillars on the
right are for a monument for People Moving. |
This Guard rail is designed to keep the
OWNERS of this PROPERTY away from their OWN PROPERTY. I know this sounds
kind of strange, but this is what you get when you have GOVERNMENT
WORKERS spending money they did not earn. |
|
To me this lock symbolizes the
distrust and contempt the spenders of Public Funds have for the Public.
"We'll take your money with the promise of PUBLIC ACCESS to the river"
But the Politicians never tell you "We'll take your money to LOCK you
away from the River Bank" |
Gill Hill is president of the Detroit City
Council, he has a radio talk show where every one calls him Mr.
President. You might recall seeing him in movies such as Beverly Hills
Cop. I am sure President Hill's City Council had to approve plans for
this Fisherman's Barrier to be erected. |
|
Maybe he figured it was a good place
to advertise his campaign for Mayor, where he could do real damage! Too
bad the bird did not have a better aim! |
|
|
I do appreciate how the view has improved.
This area was a thin long gravel parking lot barely secured by a
decrepit chain link fence, what a shambles and eye sore it was, so ... |

OK ... Maybe I am Going Off the Deep End...
